Circumstances: PLEASE HELP US FIND FLORENCE Our dearly loved Florence went missing during our regular walk, a short distance from our house, on Saturday 13th June 2020 around 1830 ?? Florence is a 7 year old, female, short haired, chocolate & tan Miniature Dachshund She was last seen in the rough area shaded red on the attached map in the comments; this is dense bush land and full of thousands of rabbit holes. We walked the route highlighted yellow. Our other dog, Penelope, was with her following rabbit scents before she went missing. This area is on Salisbury plain, behind the housing post code location SP4 9BG Florence might have become stuck underground in a rabbit hole - we have searched the area as extensively as possible and continue to do so. Sadly, so far there have been no sightings or signs of Florence. It is also possible that Florence may have entered a panic state and although she knows the area and way home extremely well, she could have run from the area and is no longer able to make her way back - if this is the case then we hope and pray someone might spot her. If you think you may have seen her, please refrain from approaching her (to prevent further panic) and phone us with the location. We would be incredibly grateful if anyone local can spread the word and keep an eye open for Florence, now and in the future. Another possibility is that Florence has been picked up by someone and taken from the area. Perhaps someone innocently having found a lost dog and trying to help, or someone may have decided to keep her or attempt to sell her. Please share this group as far and wide as possible; someone might just recognise her. If you think you might be in possession of Florence, we appeal for you to call us or take her to your local vet. No questions asked, we just want Florence safely returned to us. Florence is a member of our family and it is breaking our hearts not knowing if she is trapped, lost, dead or alive. Please help bring her home to us. The day I am writing this is approaching 4 days since we last saw Florence (17/06/20). We have had incredible support searching the area and where possible used resources including pipe cameras, drones, working terriers, gun dogs, food/water, scent hounds, and our other dog Penelope. We have contacted the police, RSPCA, petlog microchip, vets, fire brigade, and local dog searching teams; everything we can think to do! Thank you for following this page to help find Florence. Please share as widely as you can Karen of County pet services and missing dogs: 07989 381509 Emily Barker: 07919175982 Tim Barker: 07759 725060 Thank you again, The Barker Family

I walked from the area of Nelson close a couple of weeks ago and through the wood and up a very steep slope to the left of the kiwi. there is a very large hole or burrow on that shope about half way up.We commented at the time that a small dog could easily get down it. It is well worth checking or digging out. it is a very steep slope and hard to walk up.
