Thankyou. We're so relieved! Bit of an exciting adventure for us all! Oskars lost alot of weight & will take a few weeks to recuperate but vet's given him all clear otherwise! He's not been up tree for 4 weeks & he's not been living rough either; his paw pads are soft & pink, claws long & sharp, coat in good condition & all his white patches clean & no burrs or seeds tangled in his coat. His collar was missing his id tag. We'll never know but I think someone decided they'd like him for themselves & then oskar escaped as he hates being inside all the time! Its only a guess tho! Thanks for your support & helpful website & services👍👍😊😊😊😽😽😻😻

A local lady txtd us Thursday 22nd Sept with photo of oskar up a tree in Bingham Park asking if he was our cat. He'd been spotted by her brother on Sunday 18th September stuck up a 100ft Oak tree in Bingham Park, on the Greystones side of valley. He & his sister returned on Monday 19th September with food to try & coax oskar down. Oskar would not move. They rang rspca who added him to their rescue list but would only be checked by a rspca officer after 24hrs. The lady returned on Tuesday then Wednesday. After searching social media sites on Wednesday evening, she found missing posts for oskar on local & national FB groups& contacted my husband Thursday am. We arrived with ladders in Bingham Park about 9.30am. Lady took us to oskar who started crying as soon as he heard us, obviously desperate to come down. Following several failed attempts to get to him we borrowed longer ladders from a neighbour. Ladders were still too short but we could reach him with a bowl wired to garden canes & feed him. He was extremely hungry & after consuming 1 pkt wet cat food, we tried to lure him down to a lower branch to grab him. At that point oskar was desperate to get to the wet food, attempted to climb down but wasn't strong enough to hold on & fell off. Fortunately my husband managed to catch him as he came down.
