Hi, I've found a cat in Wincanton that might (?) be your 12 year-old tabby. I don't want to get your hopes up (I've got a cat of my own) and I'd really appreciate another photo of him to compare with the one I've found. He does have a kink in his tail. He's a tall long cat with large paws and looks a bit darker in colour than your photo. He's got pointy ears and a bengal look to him, with two black stripes just above his knees on both front legs. Please do get in touch if you would like me to send you photos of the cat I have found. I'm really hoping the vets can help and I will try to look after him if they can't identify his owner. I look forward to sharing the photos I have of him with you in case he is in fact yours. He's been in the local area (Wincanton) roaming for about 5 weeks and I've been feeding him recently as he's extremely thin. Cats Protection have put me in touch with the local vets and they are going to give him a full health check and see if he's micro-chipped on Thursday morning this week. Thanks, Vicki

PR84231 regarding this lost cat. I believe I may have found him - although he's a lot thinner and I'm taking him to the vets tomorrow (to be scanned and for a health check). Please let Emma know that there's a chance I have her cat here in Wincanton. Thank you

PR84231 Hi Emma, I have tried to call you this morning using the number in your poster. You may have a different number now (?) - the message I get is that your number won't accept my call. My partner has tried you from his mobile too. I have a cat myself and have also lost cats in the past, which I know is agony - so I'm taking a risk trying to contact you before I take him to the vets. I certainly don't want to give you false hope if the boy I've found isn't yours.. He does have a slight kink in his tail which is long. He is quite poorly with malnutrition and cats protection have kindly agreed to pay for tests tomorrow to see if there is anything I can do to help him until I hopefully find his owner. I thought he may have hyperthyroidism - although I'm not certainly not a vet - so I won't know until I speak to them. If he is a good hunter and has possibly roamed further afield, or got in a van and ended up in Wincanton (?) I think there's a chance he could make a recovery. I also think he's been well-loved and craves affection too whilst knowing that he's not found him home yet. He's very independent looks darker in colouring than your photo. He has a black stripe on both front legs above the knees. Other features I can share, not obvious to me in your photo) are: a long body and tall legs; a bengal look to his face up close; his ears appear pointier than in your photo too. His eyes are quite stunning and yellow/amber coloured. He has a slight grey beard just below his mouth. I can share a picture of him with you so you wouldn't have a wasted journey or any false hope if it turns out he's not your boy. I look forward to hearing from you and will check here. Not sure how to contact you otherwise but I will include my number here: 07522 191304. Thanks, Vicki p.s. if he is your cat, I really don't want any money from you as a reward.
