Circumstances:	He has just been seen wandering around our area. We havnt tried to catch him. He just looks lost and we cant locate an owner. He is very afraid to be approached, but may have been wandering alone for quite some time.
Other info:	all black, very shiny, agile, athletic looking. golden eyes

He is still out there, but, me and neighbour havn't seen him since sunday 3rd April, although, he tends to just go about his business. He doesnt approach. He seems young, in appearance, but, am just guessing as havn't got close up.

He keeps spray, so assume more likely, male. Not unusually long, but, has a long body and good legs!!! He looks athletic build. Sorry, have to dash, have an urgent matter. But, dont hesitiate to ask more or txt etc

Would you be able to get close enough, given time and treats (!) to try attaching a paper collar made from a strip of strongish paper, with a small piece of tape, giving your contact number and asking if puss belongs to anyone. If they are just visiting, you should get a response. Thank you.

Would you be able to get kitty to a vet to be scanned for a chip please? They will do it for free. Or maybe you know of a local rescue who could scan? If not please try ScanAngels – they may be able to come to you. Thank you.

That is my intention. But, at this stage, he is too wary. Unfortunatley, I havnt seen him for a couple of days. But, yesterday, I had a personal, trauma, with a Cat I had rescued, that had suddenly got Cancer and with much sadness, had to put him to sleep yesterday. So, I havn't been upto doing much for him past couple days. But, will go have a look later. My neibour, who is also, helping, has just told me, Cats Protection, maybe coming to put collar. But, I will be on case, if not. Thanks for sharing

Still trying to find owner. Had a false lead, that seems is certainly not the owner. So, are continuing to try. Checked if chip and it read, no chip. But, is possible missed it

I put a collar on him asking if he lost or had an owner, with my number, and she called to say, he was home and just wanders alot. I advised her to get him chipped and, a collar, and, neutered, if he isnt. But, have seen him since with no collar, and, she didnt respond to any suggestions
