https://thepetdetectives.com/about_us.php#:~:text=The UKPD United Kingdom Pet, cats, dogs and other animals. ‘The Pet Detective’ - advice 1. For the first few days/week, cat will hunker down somewhere and not so likely to come out. 2. When they eventually get hungry they will come out at dawn and dusk. This is the best time to go looking. 3. Most important: when looking, do not walk around calling. Instead, go to a specific place for 30 mins or so and just talk, let your voice carry. This will reassure the cat it's ok to come out. 4. Have as much visibility as possible: put up loads of posters, and knock on doors, drop notes. And do this every week or so to keep the info up to date and people still caring. Ask people to check sheds etc. 5. Call around vets and maybe highway agency, just in case 6. Pet detective is very useful, but is really only effective within the first few days of going missing (as dog needs fresh scent of cat to focus on).

Cat trackers, Cat Leash training and Drone advice Please buy a good tracking device when your cat is back Cat trackers advice. The ones that seem popular are Tractive (subscription GPS), AirTag (bounces off other Apple devices, no subscription, long battery life) and Tabcat (no subscription, longish battery life, not GPS but good if your cat hasn’t gone too far). Here's some tracker info from Mark A. - London, England. - PLEASE, EVERYONE, GET A GPS TRACKER!!!There are many available online, and GPS is better than standard Bluetooth trackers. Subscription fees can vary greatly, so shop around.I bought some of these as a backup if the GPS fails, and they are very good if your cat doesn't roam too far. It's an expensive outlay, but there's no subscription and they last a long time. So far, they've been very good...Tabcat v2 Cat/Kitten Tracker - More accurate than GPS - No monthly subscription, smallest, lightest tracker tags:https://amzn.eu/d/0ihkvUc3I'm currently using Vodafone Curves as GPS trackers and they've been very good, but Vodafone will be discontinuing them from 1st August '24. I'm planning to get some Paj Trackers because they have good reviews and one of the lowest subscription fees, and I'll update this template after giving them a try. It says they're for dogs but they look small enough for cats. They were £9.99 for a while, but then upped their price to £29.99. I emailed them to complain and they offered me 3 months free subscription to balance things out. You could try doing this too... PAJ GPS PET FINDER 4G: https://amzn.eu/d/01ZokOZN CAT LEASH TRAINING https://youtu.be/i8ygBgYosJs DRONE Drones equipped with thermal imaging might also be able to help . HOW TO FIND LOST CAT - **Feedback no1 litter tray/contents particularly successful WATCH SONYA FITZPATRICK ON YOUTUBE - HOW TO FIND YOUR LOST CAT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RVIKrV3SJ4&list=PLV1NGw2_RfK8lTJvuZOyu9aAUSyr_5Jxa&index=1 https://www.catchat.org/index.php/cat-missing-lost-found#found ; https://www.battersea.org.uk/pet-advice/lost-and-found-cat-advice/lost-cat ; **1. Put familiar smells outside, bedding, used litter tray/contents, contents of hoover.  2. Call softly late at night or early morning when quiet. IMPORTANT wait for a response, they may be close by, hiding under a hedge or somewhere that is sheltered . 3. Check with neighbours, and Postie.  4. Make a poster with their photo, location lost, your contact details, put poster at eye level around your area, and give to neighbours  5. Make smaller posters to put through doors close to where they escaped from, as not everyone is online/on Facebook  6. Contact local vets, and animal rescues/shelters  7. Put on more Facebook sites, and share to all animal sites around you  8. Contact chip company, to alert them, & maybe update contact details  9. Also if there are any empty houses in the vicinity, check to see if they have a cat flap or an open window.  10. Notify council cleansing department JUST in case.  11. Cats don't wander far normally, when they need to go searching for food, so leave biscuits and water nearby your home.  12. The video advice from Sonya is very good as she says that some drops of your wee from a bottle, will also 'scent' your area.  13. Look at satellite view on Google Map of where your cat could walk. See where there is a gap between buildings. Start a trail of wee in a water bottle from where gardens or courtyards border on to alleyways from the side of buildings, and then sprinkle along inside edge of pavement where a cat would spray all the way home. 14. Choose different directions, each time walking home with empty bottle calling louder when you start your return journey and quieter as you near home to make scent and sound the leading influence on your hiding cat. As you are walking back home try not to sound anxious as you call, and wait for a reply, as he/she won't just run out to meet you if he/she feels afraid.  15. Take a toy on some string to lure him/her out from hedges. Never call as you walk AWAY from home.  16. When putting posters up - please please - keep track of how many posters you display, and WHERE, and so as soon as you are reunited then every one is removed. 17 General advice in catching a fearful cat - NOT to approach when bending forwards with arms and hands outstretched. NOT staring directly at a fearful cat, showing teeth when smiling and constantly repeating name.  18. Not walking directly towards a cat. Best way - sit/lie down, with scattered worn clothes in front/all around. Food left nearby - preferably in a trap. Talking quietly, no noise nearby, keeping dogs or children or spectators at a real distance to avoid distractions.  19. I hope you see video, and please study (and draw a copy of) google map, to see where to make a trail of wee. Always be walking BACK TOWARDS HOME, talking HAPPILY AND CALMLY, rather than repeating the name, as cats get nervous if you just do this, and wait for a meow in response to your happy voice.  20. Don’t stick posters up with JUST one or two inch pieces of sellotape top and bottom, as they will be fluttering in the breeze - and so so easy to remove by the council or kids. Go around a few times, and use a plastic sleeve with open end downwards to keep paper dry.

I hope you find her but please get her microchipped and keep your contact details up to date. It's now the law for ALL cats 20+ weeks old to be microchipped and if she isn't already please get her spayed. If she isn't spayed that will be why she wants out.
