Sorry, didn't get notification of Hector's disappearance. It's a bit late to be looking under hedges and things now, but there is a lot you can still do to search for him. Do call regularly - he may not be too far away and someone may be feeding him. (Common problem). I'm sue you have postered around the area thoroughly and posted flyers through doors. Go round the posters and write 'still missing' on them - keeping Hector in people's minds. Ask around, especially houses with children, as they can be very observant - maybe offer a little reward to the children. There are loads of shops around you could poster in - including Pets at Home - loads of pet lovers will be able to look. Check the local school too, there will be a caretaker on site during the holidays. It is also common for cats to climb into delivery vehicles. Was there one around your/a neighbour's house that day? Supermarket vehicle? Amazon deliveries/post office van? Ask all neighbours. They may not be able remember now, but you could contact all delivery companies. They keep records and usually use GPS these days so can say where the van went next, possibly the hop off point if your cat got into the van. If you suspect this, put notices/flyers around the area you think Hector may have hopped off too. You could put an advert in the local paper - I found a cat this way. You could also try a national paper / local radio and social media. Hope Hector is home very soon. The microchip means you always have hope, don't give up. He's out there somewhere, you just have to narrow it down a little! You could also post him missing on the website called 'doglost uk' - they are really good and have loads of people on the ground looking for all sorts of lost pets! Thinking of you.

Thank you. That's very kind. We've been out late every night looking, calling, and shaking treats. Just re-postered everwhere. Hoping he'll become more noticeable to people x when it starts cooling down x

Don't give up hope. The microchip is Hector's passport home as soon as it is checked. Let's hope it is soon.

Hector is obviously a very much loved cat. Please don't give up hope. Have you tried doglost.co.uk ? It's not just for dogs and is nationwide.

I have tried everything. I just wish I knew if he was alive or not. It's so awful not knowing. Nothing has come from my last social media campaign. Just hope that one day I get that phone call. He's a particularly special boy to me, my therapy cat x
