Lost cat: Tabby cat called Oscar - Wantage area, Oxfordshire

Microchipped:	Yes
Markings:	Occasionally has cuts/scrapes to the top of his ears
Circumstances:	We moved to the area 3 weeks ago after spending 7 years living approximately 10 miles away. After keeping Oscar in for 2 weeks to get used to his surroundings, we've been gradually letting him out which was going well and he had been returning. However, on Friday night, he went out around 11pm and hasn't returned since. We have noticed another cat in the area which marks its territory in our garden and combined with the high winds and fireworks that were going off over the weekend, he may well have just been spooked and is hiding somewhere.

You may already be aware of this but there is a Facebook group “Wantage Cat and Dog Watch” https://www.facebook.com/groups/429369863821918/?ref=group_header that people use regularly to get help finding lost pets I found it very helpful when my cat went missing. I do hope you find him very soon.

Oscar is still missing unfortunately. There have been a few potential sightings of him, the most promising being approximately 1 mile away in Mably Grove outside Wantage. If anyone does spot a tabby cat around there and is able to take a quick photo to help us identify whether it is him or not, that would be most appreciated.

Unfortunately Oscar is still missing. We did have two separate sightings of a tabby cat in the Kingcup green area of Grove, but have since confirmed it was not him. If anyone does have any potential leads on his whereabouts, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It’s been well over a year since we initiated the report, so we unfortunately don’t expect Oscar to return.
