A similar looking cat has been seen on Black Path near Alresford Road, reported on the Winchester Cats Facebook group. Black Path is the footpath that runs from Easton Lane down the side of Tescos toward Alresford Road.

There are two photos of the found cat on the FB group. The quality of the photo above isn't clear enough for me to say for sure if they're a match but they certainly look very similar (eyes, white muzzle etc)

Sighting checked but sadly cat turned out not to be Merlin

He was spotted locked inside a house which is empty due to renovation. We were able to climb in through an upstairs window & rescued him from under the floorboards
