Take it to a vet and see if it's micro chipped? Looks a little like my missing cat, but too much white. I'm sure the owners would appreciate getting it back.

Non of us drive so trying to find a lift to the vets. If it is classed as a stray by the vets and nobody claims him we may take him in as he is getting very skinny.

If he's not microchipped, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't adopt him? It's his welfare thats important. Good luck!

We are taking him to the vets at the weekend to see if he is microchipped and get him checked over. If he is declared a stray for now we are going to take him in as like you said all we are concerned about is his welfare and he has become very attached to us. We already have 2 cats and they seem to get on with him okay. If it does so happen he has an owner then we would gladly give him back to them. I will post the outcome just so if he does belong to anyone we dont want them thinking we have just taken him in without any concern to the potential owner.

UPDATE: we have taken him to the vets and hes not micrichipped. Hes at our house morning noon and night now. The vets advised us to keep looking for owners for 7 days and if no one comes foward we are going to get him neatured and microchipped. If anyone has any info in the mean time please dont hesitate to contact me.
