We were delighted when this dog's owners contacted us a couple of days later and the dog was delighted when her owners came to collect her. We encouraged them to have her microchipped so if she ever goes wandering off again they will get news of her as soon as she arrives at a vets / dog warden / rescue centre.We made no charges for the following; checking the dog for a microchip, (she did not have one) a veterinary check for injuries / illnesses, then kennelling, feeding and walking her. We asked her owners to make a donation to a pet charity in gratitude for the safe return of their beloved pet and they said they would donate to the RSPCA online.
