LOST
Esther
Name: Esther
Breed & Species: Siberian cat
Colour: Grey silver
SimpleColour:
Went missing: 7 years ago
(24 June 2017 at around 11:00hrs)
Location: Cote Road, Aston OX18 2DU, United Kingdom
Health: Healthy
Age: 13 years old
Sex: Spayed Female
Collar: No
Microchipped: Yes
Markings: Very fluffy, thick grey coat with bushy grey tail, with faint black, grey, white strips on legs. White-ish tummy that is less long-haired than the rest of her, because she had some knots shaved off by the vet earlier in the year from her tummy.
Circumstances: She was last seen sleeping on our landing, where she often relaxes during the day. It was an unusual day because at about this time of the morning, 11am we had visitors who arrived with their little terrior dog who has only visited once before over 6months ago. Even though I closed the stair gate so the dog couldn't get upstairs, because the dog barked quite a lot throughout the day, this might have scared Esther. The windows upstairs were open so Esther could freely go outside onto our sloping roof, which she loves doing (as she is an excellent jumper and climber being that Siberian forest cat breed). So we think she got upset by the dog noise and went outside. This was the day of our village fete, so there was a small procession of people and cars at 1.45 that day, this may have upset Esther again, causing her to roam beyond her usual boundaries. She never go beyond our direct neighbours gardens and never out of our front garden or onto the road. Maybe this time she decided to go further than usual...we live opposite the village allotments so it is a quiet field opposite. We have asked our neighbours to look out for her and check their sheds, garages, greenhouses, etc. Esther loves to run along our roof and our next door neighbours roof. She is very attentive and always greets us and is never away so this is unusual behaviour.
Other info: Even though she is extremely fluffy, she is actually a very small built cat so looks larger than she would be if she didn't have so much fur.

We had been out for the afternoon and when we got back at 4pm Esther was waiting on our patio...I had left her usual food biscuits on a plate on the patio table and they had been eaten. She is well and very pleased to see us as we were to see her. She had even brought us a dead mouse.....never have I been so pleased as to receive a dead mouse before!
