Circumstances:	Bess is a mainly indoor cat in a first floor flat. She has access to the outside garden of the ground floor flat which she accesses through a cat door in our kitchen window and climbing down the conservatory roof of the flat below and down a fence into the garden. Up until 5-6 months ago she used to go outside once or twice a day but never for more then a couple of hours at a time. We went to sleep on Thursday night around midnight with her on our bed. We woke up on Friday morning at 7am expecting to hear her meow for food as she normally does, but there was no sign of her. She must have gone out sometime after midnight on Thursday and she hasn't been home since. In the past 5-6 months she hasn't ventured further outside than sitting on the windowsill, so it's very out of character for her to be outside for so long, and she's never been gone this long before, even when she did go outside regularly. We have lived in this flat for 6 years, she's very familiar with the area and when she has been outside in the past, she normally comes when called.
Other info:	Bess is a black and white tuxedo cat, mainly black with a white stomach and white paws and a relatively short black tail. She's a small cat but noticeably overweight. She has large white whiskers and green eyes. She was wearing a red fabric collar with a bell with "do not feed microchipped" written on it.

After doing a final call for her before we went to bed just after midnight, we heard Bess crying from the next-door neighbour's garden. We managed to get access to the garden (thanks to our very understanding neighbours!) and rescue her from the fence she'd climbed onto.
