Stolen dog: Liver/white Springer Spaniel (English) dog called Bruce - Abingdon area, Oxfordshire

Circumstances:	Bruce was stolen from his owner while out walking. A male on a scooter approached from behind, pushed the owner to the ground and made off with the puppy.
Other info:	He is only 17 weeks old.

I have distributed this to all dog wardens, Petsearch, pounds and various rescues. Also on my Animal Rehoming UK and Norfolk Pet Rehoming. Hope he is found safe and sound very quickly.

I saw this evening in Wallingford High Street next to Waitrose avery similar puppy on a lead with a youngish woman, 20's, and commented on how lovely the dog was. She was also talking to 2 female community support officers about 4.40pm.I can not confirm it was the same dog, maybe one front he same litter but it did look very similar and the age would be correct.

Hope it is Ok that I have posted this on my Facebook page....I feel just so upset for the owners and will tell as many people as I can to look for Bruce. I have also shown this to my Postman who is going to tell his colleagues, like me he is a dog owner and completely appalled at this. Words fail me sometimes...I hope he is found soon and I am thinking of the owners and the distress they must be going through.

Good news everyone! Bruce is now home. His owner was contacted last night (in suspicious circumstances) and a pickup was arranged. Apparently, no money changed hands and Bruce seems well. Thanks to you all for your help with this. This report is now closed.Nick

Unfortunately this type of dog theft is happening on a daily basis all over the country. Dogs are also being stolen from outside of shops, in cars, gardens, kennels etc. Very worrying.
