Hi, if you take the cat to Bicester Vets or Hart Vets then they'll quickly be able to see if the cat is chipped or not and if so hopefully identify the owner. I assume you've asked your neighbours about it?

Mum has called all vets and they didn't really want to know. Also neighbours been asked. It won't leave, I think it has been doing its rounds spotted everywhere in greenwood also kingsmere and also at the ten ton bridge. I think it's just lost. Very young and playful cat. Also has white hairs under neck.

I know what you mean about them seemingly not wanting to know, I've had similar experiences with a cat that was hanging around outside my house, old and very weak. After realising how weak it was, I took it to the vets & it took them 10 seconds to tell me that a) the cat was owned by someone 'close by' and that b) the owner had recently registered at another vet some miles away.... so the old house cat had somehow found it's way back to somewhere near it's old address. I pressed them to call the other (new) vet and heard that within 1 hour of them being called someone arrived in a car to collect their cat and take it home. If we hadn't took it in, I don't think it would have survived much longer.I'd suggest that if it's still around after a week then you might just want to check to see if it is chipped... and if it's not then go from there (maybe you'd like a cat to look after).
