He wasn't in his usual position outside Tesco this morning so must be him. Think lots of the school kids know him

I have a photo of the Tesco Southwold cat - it's not great quality but it shows a black splodge on the right of the cats face under the ear. Does this cat have that? I'd upload the photo but I don't think I can here? He's not mine but I thought if we could establish if he's the right one it might help.

Yes, he does have a black splodge under the right ear. I have just come back from a trip to Southwold Tesco who are sure that it's the same cat. They have put a poster up and say that the owner comes in regularly and that they will let them know. Thanks for your help.

He's a lovely cat. So friendly- my little boy goes to the school & loves stroking him. Quite the local celeb now!

He loves attention and thats why he sits at the shop because he gets so much attention. He would never harm a fly but people keep feeding him so he goes back to their houses for more food ... What cat wouldnt? I have had to pick him up from the vets so many times and from a rescue centre in banbury because people keep taking him in to them :(! He has a great lving home but chooses attention over it haha! Xx

Oh bless him, that's the trouble when they are so friendly - people can't resist feeding and don't realise the problems they create. My niece spotted him one day when she was visiting me and fell in love. Now whenever she's over she wants to go to the shops to see if 'Splodge' is there for a stroke. That's why I had a photo, she snapped him on her camera phone. Hope he's back home now and doesn't go walkabout again!

Glad he's home. One of mine is like that. Every time he disappears I worry. Meanwhile he's somewhere doubtless on someone's lap eating them out of house & home. Anyway. He's proof that this is such a brilliant service :) x

I think you should be thanking annasc for looking after the cat and making the effort to find it's owner rather than criticising her for feeding the poor thing.
