We had a call from Bicester Vets this evening. Jack had been taken in to the vets by some kind people having found him in a bad way on their doorstep in Moor Pond Close. He's got a bad injury to his leg which has become infected. The vet thinks that he was injured around the time he went missing. He's in a bad way, but his owners have been in to the vets to see him and authorised treatment. The vet (Cliff) recognised Jack from his missing pet poster that we sent by email a few days ago. If he hadn't been identified this way, there would have been no way to trace his owners and his course of treatment would have been uncertain.Even though Jack has a long way to go to recover, I'm pleased. I'm pleased because it proves that the system does work and we've made a real difference both to Jack and his owners. Let's hope that Jack is strong and pulls through.Nick
