So... Here's how luna's adventures came to an end... I got a call on Wednesday 4th July at 2pm from a man who said he'd just walked through a park and could hear a Parrot in the trees but couldn't see anything. We rushed down there and spent an hour searching and calling but didn't see or hear anything. We decided to go back later in the evening and went home. 20mins later on my way to work I got a message saying someone has spotted an African grey being coaxed off a hedge and then on to a car just 5 mins away from where we'd been searching the park. This was followed by a call from the lady who with her husband had coaxed her to the bonnet of the car with a banana and had her eating. We were terrified she'd fly back away and mike raced down there! As soon as Mike put his hand out she hopped up and climbed upto his shoulder and put her head into his neck and wouldn't come back down. It was a very emotional reunion all around! Including for the lovely people who'd found her and contacted us! She's settled back in and had a good night's sleep and lots of treats and love. We're absolutely over the moon and eternally grateful to all who helped in our search. X
