Please be aware a man is calling up pretending to be an RSPCA vet or similar and demanding money. The RSPCA won’t ask for money and if he was genuine he would know the full chip number as he pretends to have scanned the cat and that the cat needs surgery. I hope you find your cat soon.

Thanks! That’s super helpful to know

Have you tried asking at Leckford School it is right behind there? Also the pub just in case she smells food.... Is she chipped?

Hi! Haven’t checked the school. That’s a good shout. We tried the two pubs, but nothing there. Victoria pub kindly let us put up a flyer

I have just cycled around and will go out again a bit later when it is quiet - nextdoor jericho are brilliant as so many people are on it!!

That’s honestly so kind! Thank you so much. We’re planning on going out again at around midnight as think she’s probably hiding from all the cars and people at the moment.

Absolutely it is so quiet here at night.. definitely the best time. I noticed at the top of Plantation near Walton Street on the left hand side a turning to some garages and then a small passage way at the bottom turning left again - very quiet good hiding spot!

So many cat lovers around here she will definitely be found. Is she chipped? Stephanie at Medivet on Banbury Road would put a poster up for you too! I am willing her home x

Just went out again but no sign... still noisy pubs! Met 2 lovely ladies in Plantation Road who are aware and on the look out! I know it sounds crazy but I always listen for noisy birds as indication of cats!! 107 Banbury Road was noisy!!! Good luck tonight x

Just got back after having a good look around. No sign of her yet :( How long did it take for you to find your cat when it went missing? We’re so worried that she has moved on to a different area of Oxford and that we’re on a wild goose hunt

Good morning! Don't give up. she will go to a house soon as she will be hungry. Everyone in Jericho will be looking out for her. There is often great advice on lost pets in Oxford to. Like putting out something that she slept on as they can smell it for miles apparently. Posters are brilliant too as not everyone is on here or Nextdoor. Mine was gone for 12 hours....Sounds crazy but I have a whistle that mine recognise and come back as soon as I do so... However I know yours is an indoor so you wouldn't have a need. Its relatively quiet now... try again. Try the cemetry behind Londis on Walton Street - lovely and quiet there.Emma x

Me again... I went again just now... felt strangely drawn to Leckford road - at no. 23 there is a bin store with cushions that looked safe and then I went down Adelaide Street lots of garages behind there. If she has dried food then take that out and shake it (mine always come for food!) The Church at the end of North Parade/Banbury Road lots of bushes. Sorry I sound like a mad woman but I just want you to find your cat... X

Hi Emma. Thank you so much for helping us in the search. It’s really really appreciated! We just went out and sadly didn’t see or hear her. Went around shaking dry food and had open wet food bags. She’s normally so good driven that it’s really worrying that she won’t show herself. We’re going to try going out again in the middle of the night when things are more quiet as it seems to be a busy Friday night. Can’t live with the thought of never seeing her again / not knowing what has happened to her. Night night!

I know exactly how you must be feeling but please do not give up hope. Someone will find her and take her a vets to be checked, I have a very strong feeling about this. The Oxford cat community is VERY strong....My friends cat went missing for 10 days before she was found and anothe friend 3 weeks! You will see again ...Emm ax

GREATEST NEWS EVER! We found her last night at 3am completely by chance. I missed the normal turning we take to Jericho by car and ended up taking a right turn off Banbury onto Bevington road and there she was!!! She must have been trying to find her way home as we had left her bedding and litter out. Thank you so so so much for all of your help. You are honestly such an incredible person and it is great knowing there’s a supportive cat community out there. Lots of love x
