Hello. I'm so sorry to report that I have just seen a deceased cat matching this description located just past the sign for Sandford on Thames. Someone has wrapped them in a black and orange jacket. I noticed the jacket on the floor so actually crossed over to hang it up on the sign. I have left him/her in situ as I wanted to see if there were any local reports of lost cats. If this is Mimi, I am truly sorry to have to share such awful news. My thoughts are with you. X

Thank you for getting in touch. Could you please let me know where the sandford sign you found the body is located? Thank you so much…xx

Hi. Sorry for the delay in responding. The sign for Sandford on Thames is located on the left hand side of the road as you enter Sandford just after crossing the bridge that goes over the A4074. If you walked up from Cardinal Close towards the Kings Arms pub you would automatically pass this sign. Hopefully this makes sense? X

Hi thanks for the directions. We’ve had a look and the cat isn’t Mimi. Too large as she was almost dwarf like with short legs and small ears. But thank you so much for getting in touch. Shame about the dead cat. Somebody has lost a handsome cat :-( xx

Hi Sarah, I know it's some time since you saw the deceased cat but there is a cat posted here from Janaway, Littlemore and wondered whether it could be this one.

Hi Maggie. Thanks for your message. I have just looked up the photo of the Janaway cat and I can't recall if it's a 100% match. I'm pretty sure the deceased cat had a full black face although the white paws matched. When I went back the cat had been removed. I know someone else also posted on next-door app so I assumed the owners had perhaps identified it as their cat.

We just had a very black cat wander into our garden on James St. I could see a little white patch at the throat, but I couldn't see if the paws were white. Most cats avoid our garden because we have two small dogs, and I don't think I've seen this one before. Our dogs were inside, but I wasn't able to put them in another room in time to open the door to the cat. Hope this helps.

Hi Coepets, I’ve just had a wander around James St and a drive around the area but haven’t seen the cat you mentioned. If by any chance you see the same cat wandering by yours do please get in touch. It’s been a while since Mimi disappeared but we are still hopeful she will be found ... thanks so much for leaving your message x

Will do. I'm so sorry it's been so long! Is she likely to come near if I approach (if the dogs aren't with me)?

Yes it’s been just over a month since she went missing. You could perhaps try to approach but it’s unlikely she’d hang about to be picked up. Just some additional details on Mimi is that she has distinctively short legs, and a flattish face with tiny little ears. Thanks again
