LOST CAT: Ginger cat called Purdy - South Shields area, Tyne and Wear

Microchipped: Yes
Markings: Ginger with creamy white stripes on her tail and a small white bib to the front
Circumstances: Purdy went out through our lounge window in the evening. She had a feed beforehand but hasn't returned this morning for her breakfast. I have not sighted her all day and this is very out of character for her. We only moved to the South Shields area from the Isle of Wight in March but Purdy has been out many times since our move. We have other animals, so she should have picked up their scent if she had lost her bearings.

Purdy walked into an elderly lady's house and her carer recognised Purdy from Facebook and posters. They took her to Vets for Pets (South Shields Quays), who scanned her for her microchip details. From then on, the vet contacted us and the lady and her carer brought her home to us. She arrived back with no voice and a little overwhelmed but other than that, well from the outcome and happy to be home. She was a little distressed but was given the all clear by her local vets the next day.
