Hi. Can you get him to a vet? They'll care for him until the owner is found.

Hi, I tried on Monday but he got very distressed when he saw the cage and scratched me allover. I got now a master plan to get him in a cage and take him to the vet. He comes every day morning and evening for food and is slowly getting comfortable with me again.
VanessaBurson
VanessaBurson
I do hope your plan works - he looks very poorly. If you need help, it might be worth asking one of the rescue centres (Cats' Protection etc) to see if they can give you a hand.

Hi nadia, what happened to this cat please x

Hi, I don't know, he just appeared in our cottages and he doesn't look well. I'm trying to get him to a vet but he is not easy to catch! We are feeding him and he sleeps under the wood outside....I really can't do anything more.

Any news on this cat? When you put a stray cat into the basket the domestic one is never working. You need the one with top open. He NEED to be rescued. If you contact any animal rescue they will bring a trap. He DOES need help immediately.
VanessaBurson
Coconococoro
there is load of things you can do. Please do not give up on him. Please. Unfortunately it is too far for us to come and rescue him with a trap. please keep eye on him but in the meantime please ask for help from an animal rescue centre in your area. Please.

I googled and found a cat rescue organisation called 4 paws cat rescue. 07872 450879 I phoned and left a messaged. She may ring me back or you can ring her for help.

Don't you worry, I'm not giving up! He has now a cat house outside where I feed him and can sleep. He is not looking as bad as it was and is been eating well and resting happy in our garden. He doesn't let me get close and that's why I haven't taken him to the vet. I will call the number you gave me on Monday and see if they can help. RSPCA told me they couldn't come to collect him. My cats are not to keen on him but they don't bother him either, the garden it's big enough for all three!??
VanessaBurson
nadia
That wasn't meant to be a question....sorry

HI Nadia thanks for getting back to me. That's brilliant. Please don't try and get him but ask professional assistance to get him with a trap. Otherwise he won't trust you and may not come back to rescue him. I work for an animal aid charity in London but it is too far for us to help. It is great that he has a shelter to sleep in for now but what he really need is to be caught and get a real medical help. He could be FIV cat, and if so he can not wander around and may transmit the disease to other cats. Yes please get in touch with them for help as soon as you can. The number seems a mobile so I guess you can call anytime and leave a message. Let me know how you get on. He is such a gorgeous cat. He deserve a better and safe life. Good luck!

Also he may not look as bad as before and his woulds may not show as bad but sometimes they could be infected deep inside the skin. So he needs to be examined. Sorry I go on about but I really can't take my eyes off of him.

I understand, I'm worried for the cat too. I'll call the tomorrow and hopefully they can help. I'll update you once I got something new to report.

Any response from the charity?
VanessaBurson
nadia
Hi, they told me they are to far from me and couldn't come to help. I have now called another charity more local and I'm waiting for them to call me back in the next two days.
VanessaBurson
Coconococoro
Oh shame. Sorry I could not figure out the distance in Oxford. I hope you will get a real help. His eyes may have been infected and he may not have been able to see much. You can also call vets and ask local animal aid charity if nobody called you.

The charity just emailed me to tell me they can't come to help because of the covid.....this is very frustrating. I'll try another charity of the vets, but it seems unlikely they will come to pick him up.

Hi Nadia sorry to disturb you. Was it CATS PROTECTION you rang? I phoned them and reported about him. They took the details but they also said it was better the person who is with him to call as well. No reference on this case was given but please call them and ask for help. You can email me miumiushoegirl@gmail.com if you like.

At this very moment he is fed and looked after by you, which is great. We may as well have to wait a little to get a help but we have to keep on trying . Feed him so that he won't disappear before getting the help. He is SO lucky to have you. I feel so frustrated myself that we can not come and catch him... :(
VanessaBurson

Hi Nadia Cat protection contacted me. They need your details. Could you please email me your mobile so that I can pass that to them.
VanessaBurson
nadia
Hi, I have now borrowed a cat trap and I'm waiting for him to come to eat. I already have an incident number from RSPCA, so I can take him to the vet and be looked after. The vet near me has agreed to take him. I have spoken with two cat rescue charities, not sure if one of them was cats protection. Here it's my number that you can give to them and see if they can help. 07766242575. I'm really trying my best, be assured this cat will get medical care as soon as we can catch him.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that the cat, Bruce ( we couldn't resist to name him...) Is now in the vets! They are going to treat him and keep him for a week. What a relief! He was very calm in the cage all the way to the vet, I'm so very happy he will be ok. Thank you for all your support.
